UniverseLocation of units of observation: National;Population: Children aged 5 years who were born in one particular week in 1970, in Great Britain.
SamplingAn attempt was made to trace all children from the cohort sample through the cooperation of the registration division of the Registrar General's Office and the National Health Service Central Register. 80.7% of the 1970 Cohort were successfully traced and interviewed on or shortly after their fifth birthdays.
