Question text Heart disease can happen when a person's arteries get clogged up and not enough blood gets to the heart. This can cause pain and disability and may lead to a heart attack. Eating healthier food, not smoking and taking regular exercise, can reduce the risk of getting heart disease. People with heart disease may need to take drugs or have major surgery.
