Interviewer InstructionsIF NECESSARY: Including any period of unemployment that lasted a month or more in March 1991. RECORD NUMBER OF PERIODS. USE LEADING ZEROS. INCLUDE CURRENT UNEMPLOYMENT EVEN IF THIS HAS LASTED FOR LESS THAN ONE MONTH. EXCLUDE PERIODS OF UNEMPLOYMENT DURING VACATIONS FROM FULL-TIME EDUCATION COURSES.
UniverseA clustered 10% sample of the main NCDS cohort, i.e. all those living in England and Wales born in one particular week in 1958, who had participated in an earlier NCDS follow-up and were not known to have died, emigrated or refused.;National
