LabelEx-couple: financial support? Q433
Question text What if the couple had been living together for two years and had a young child. The couple had agreed that the woman should give up her job when the child was born but hoped that she would take up part time work when the child started school. Say their relationship ends. The child now lives mainly with the mother and the father pays child support. Do you think the woman should or should not have the same rights to claim for financial provision for herself from the man as she would if they had been married?
