LabelDefinition of learning disability explained to Respondent M315
Question text I am now going to ask you about a person with a learning disability. But first of all I would like to clarify what I am talking about here. A person with a learning disability needs help to learn new things and may need support with everyday living. They will have had this disability since childhood. Once known as 'mental handicap', the best known type is 'Downs syndrome'. It is different from a learning difficulty such as dyslexia. On this card is a reminder for you to keep, so you can look at it again when I ask other questions about a person with learning disability later on.
