- time for a change - tax is too high - too many people doing sweet F.A. in public sector jobs, need massive jobs cuts that Labour won't stomach (since this is how unemployment has been managed) 1

A party which on the outset tells more truths than spin 1
A socialist agenda 1
A very good local MP who works well for the constituency 1
All have something to offer, but dont have much trust in any of them 1
All parties are just as bad as one another - however, I feel that as I have always voted Labour I will continue to do 1
All the parties are the same fundamentally. None of the leaders make me want to vote them into power. As environmental issues become more important to me my vote should go to the party which views these issues as important. 1
All the parties have policies I agree with and also those I do not, but the Conservatives have more that I agree with than the other two 1
Although I prefer what the Lib Dems say, I think Labour would be better at implementing policy. It's hard to take Lib Dems seriously as a national government. 1
Although my beliefs lie with the policies of another party I do not believe they will be able to undertake those policies without raising taxes and financially I can not afford this, a case of moral belief losing to personal gain 1
Although not exclusivly, this party seems to be closest to the Christian principles I try to maintain and uphold. 1
Always Vote Labour 1
Always do 1
Always have done. 1
Always vote labour 1
Always voted Conservative 1
Always voted labour 1
Angry at Labour over Iraq and civil liberties issues - Green vote would be a protest vote for me 1

As a kick up the pants for the major parties who talk about the problems which concern the bulk of people but actually do very little 1
As a lifelong labour supporter, I have become rather disillusioned with the new labour party over Iraq and spin in general. I have therefore decided to vote for the candidate who will best serve the constituency rather than voting along party lines. I do 1
As a protest vote. The Conservatives are not addressing the immigration problems that arise from bringing in foreign spouses & dependants - See Denmark's policies 1
BECAUSE THE OTHER TWO ARE NOT MOVING FORWARD WE NEED REAL CHANGE 1
Basically the Tories are for less interference in our lives than other parties. 1
Because Conservatives are far better than Labour 1
Because I always vote for the under dog. 1
Because I always vote for them 1
Because I do not trust Labour, Liberal Democrats or the Conservatives, also besides all the main issues like war and terrorism, the other issue is our environment. 1
Because I feel that Tony Blair and his government have no morals and are only interested in themselves. They are openly deceitful and corrupt. 1
Because I have always been a socialist and the Labour Party is the closest to my ideal. That is not to say that I have unreserved approval for this partcular Government! 1
Because I would never vote for labour, but think that the Lib Dem's could win this seat 1
Because I've been bought up to think that I am Labour, but I know very little about politics and therefore decide not to vote 1
Because although I feel Conservatives are not as strong as they should be I don't want Labour to win 1
Because i think they serve my & my family's interests the best 1
Because in my local area the Lib Dems wprk much harder than either of the other parties, and address and resolve many local issues 1
Because of Blairs stance on Iraq I feel I can no longer vote Labour. I would never vote Consevative so I am left with the Liberals 1
Because there seems to be no viable option other than Labour??? 1
Because they say they will tackle the most important thing to me, the rising immigration 1
Because they were the only party to came to see what work we did and supported us when an association that I have dealings with when earmarked for closure 1
Because they would remove us from the EU 1
Believe Labour will win election no matter who I vote for, would not consider voting Conservative, UKIP or BNP, would vote Green but they aren't likley to put a candidate forward in my constituency, Lib Dem vote is a token gesture given Labour majority in 1
Besides looking at the impact on the Country I feel it is vital to choose the person/party who will do the best for this area as the government seems to TOTALLY ignore the true North of the Country. Alan Beith has served this area well and HONESTLY since 1

I have more faith in the SNP to deliver what they promise 1
I have tended to vote Liberal Democrat in the past , and that would be my preference out of the three main parties, but I feel compelled to show support for an environmental agenda at this time. 1

I live in a very safe labour seat. It is unlikely to make any difference who I vote for and I know this. Chances are I'll spoil my ballot paper in protest. I will not vote labour. the conservatives have no chance in my seat, lib dem comes second so I 1

If they offer what I believe should be done 1

Influance from family members 1
Integrity is all important, and when a Party feels the need to given an important role to unelected people to do its dirty work we are in serious trouble. It leads to serious lying and cover-up. It means we, the voters, no longer have a voice. That is ins 1

Protest vote against mainstream political parties none of which I trust. 1
Purely voting Conservative this time against Labour's policy and ban on hunting 1
Reaction to war in Iraq,Labour's private finance initiatives, Labour diktats to health service and education workers etc regarding standards. Policies made up as they go along to follow public opinion. etc etc etc 1
Sadly, Labour are currently the only party capable of running the country. 1
Simply due to devolution 1
So Blair loses 1
Some of their policies make sence, and from the last election, they were honest enought to admit if you want services improved sometimes you have to pay for them through taxation 1
Staunch labour voter, but do not agree with new labour policies - can find no alternative 1
Stay with you beliefs 1
THE POLICIES ARE SO SIMILAR IN MANY OF THE TOP ISSUES, THAT IT COMES DOWN TO WHO ONE TRUSTS THE MOST TO CARRY OUT THE POLICIES. I DO NOT TRUST TONY BLAIR AND HIS PUPPET CABINET, AND VAST PROBLEMS WITH THE ECONOMY, PENSIONS ETC., ARE JUST ROUND THE CORNER 1
THE TIME HAS COME FOR MORE CONCENSUS POLITICS IN BRITAIN - NO SINGLE PARTY HAS A MONOPOLY ON GOOD IDEAS! 1
THEY ARE THE ONLY PARTY WITH A REALISTIC DRUG POLICY APART FROM THE GREENS 1
THey are the only party who have 'green issues' and I do not believe the ploicies of other parties 1
Thats my buiness 1
The 'Labour' party is my party of conscience, but they are willing to sell this country 'down the river' to achieve the political dreams of a handful of lefty dreamers! Therefore my future political allegiance is to any party that will give Britain back t 1
The Conservative candidate is an excellent MP and works very hard for our benefit 1
The Conservatives are honest and the present government is all spin and lies 1
The Conservatives are only slightly different to Labour do not want to listen to the electorate 1
The Conservatives are the least bad option 1
The Conservatives have promised to save our local special schools (we could only save one ourselves). I feel so strongly about this that I am even prepared to compromise my other beliefs. 1
The Conservatives will win our seat, but it would be great to have one Green MP in parliament. 1
The Lib Deb representative in my area is doing a very good job, and I'd like to see him re-elected 1
The Welfare state is safer in thier hands 1
The ability to pay council tax 1
The ban on hunting was not democratic.Although I do not hunt I feel it was a spitefull vindictive act by a goverment against those they percieved had kept them out of power. 1
The candidate is the best to represent our constituency - regardless of party. 1
The conservative MP in our area is very good and although I will probably vote conservative I think the policies of the 3 main parties are rubbish as presented by them. 1
The conservative party holds views closer to mine than any other 1
The conservatives are the best chance available from a poor selection! 1
The deciding factor is often which one does the least harm 1
The immigration issue is a big one and whatever government takes over will have to get a rein in on this. My vote is to demonstrate my renewed national pride, it is to register my discomfort in the biggest way possible. 1
The lesser of two evils. The lib dems won't achieve anything at all. 1
The local MP is Lib Dem, and has been doing quite a good job. The Lib Dem majority is very small, and unless the Tories come up with a good reason to choose them, I'll go with the current guy. 1
The official labour candidate was chosen from an all female short list which was deemed necessary by the National Executive. The Labour AM for the area has decided to stand as an Independant 1
The one which give me more money 1
The other parties are worse than Labour although I do not agree completely with alot of the current Labour policies. 1
The other two have had a go at running the country and not done a very good job of it ,so let somebody else have a go 1
The other two main parties are saying what the public wants to hear. I don't trust either of them. Therefoer I have no choice but to vote Lib/Dem 1
The party I want to vote for is not putting up a candidate in my constituency 1
The party I would probably support has not put a candidate forward in my constituency. 1
The party I would vote vote is not standing in my region therefore I will vote UKIP as the next best thing. 1
The party OVERALL most closely represents my views. 1
The party has the most trustworthy politicians 1
The party with the least worst policies/attitudes 1
The present party i am not happy with a lot of there promises which have failed to happen so think someone else decerves a chance 1
The reasond are personal and private. However, if Gordon Brown were leader, I would be able to respond that he is the best leader. 1
The sitting MP is an honest man, unlike some of the Chanty Wrastlers that are on offer 1
The trust worthyness of the party 1
Their policies are in line with what I feel is best for the country and fair for the people living in that country. 1
There are a few things that I agree with more than the others 1
There are no real opposition parties but I am very unhappy with current labour party 1
There are only 5 parties in my constituentcy and I will not vote for 4 of them, so that leaves only UKIP! 1
There is good and bad in all parties although my opinion of politicians is very low ! I am torn between voting labour to stop conservatives or liberal to give them a try. 1
There is no Green Party candidate in my ward. 1
There is not a Green candidate in my constituency. The Liberal Democrat has held the seat for many years and has consistently done the job well. 1
They appear to be the most proactive/positive on gay rights. 1
They are against staying in the EU 1
They are eco-friendly. However, I don't know what their specific policies are. 1
They are no worse than the rest 1
They are the best of a bad bunch. 1
They are the least worst option, ie fewer obnoxious policies than the others, but I don't agree with some of their other policies. For instance, I really want a pro-Europe party which will take the utilities and transport back into public ownership, and r 1
They are the only ones I think I can trust 1
They have a manifesto that I feel more comfortable with. 1
They have ideas for Local Income Tax to replace Council tax. 1
They have stronger language policies than the other parties. 1
They seem to want Britain to be British 1
They were NOT in favour of invading Iraq. 1
They will handle the council tax alot better 1
They will keep the Education Maintenance Allowance, I dislike the leader less than that of the opposition 1
They will reduce/abandon tuition fees 1
They would definately stop asylum-seekers. 1
They've never had a term in office so why not give them a try!! 1
Think they are slightly more likely to be a change for the better 1
This Government must be got rid of and the conservatives need to WAKE UP if they are to govern efectivly and we need to get out of Europe. 1
This country could do with another party in charge. 1
This has always been a Liberal stronghold. We don't always have a candidate for my 2nd choice which is Labour 1
This is what my parents have brought me choose, as they are labours votees. 1
This party has the best balanced policies and views that meet with my own needs 1
This party is more honest about its policies. 1
Time for a change but not the Conservatives 1
To be truthful, until politicians generally get their act together, I will continue to be sceptical about so-called 'democracy' in this country and all that suggests. Today, the Lib-dems suggest they are the most credible - but then, they are not likely t 1
To emphasise that the main parties must take the strongest possible action over immigration & asylum 1
To get Labour out! 1
To give them a chance as other parties do not keep to their promises 1
To keep the MP in office 1
To keep the conservatives out. 1
Tony Blair has consistently lied to the country and cannot be trusted 1
Totally disillusioned with the major parties, all they are really interested in is preserving the status quo and looking after their own narrow self interests. 1
UKIp is the only anti-Europe party. The Tory position on this is very weak. 1
Under Tony Blair Labour is the least worst party. Without him they woyuld be the best party. 1
Unhappy with labour government, don't agree with many of the other parties policies. Dont think any government can make the radical changes that are needed, in the time they would have. Feel Conservatives would try and change things the most from all the 1
Vernon Coaker, our Labour MP, is an excellent constituent MP, working very hard for all members of the community whatever their political allegiance. He attends local meetings to sound out local feelings e.g.. the re-siting of Arnold Town Football Club, p 1
Very dissapointed with Labour over Iraq but Conservative policy is not any different here. Lib dem is. 1
Vote against Labour 1
Voting for current MP due to the help he has given me. 1
We do not have a Lib Dem candidate in our constituency 1
We need to give someone other than Labour or Conservative a chance at leadership 1
Well Blair has done quite a good job overall since being in power, it has taken time to correct what the tories made a mess off & Im worried should the tories come back in power it will go back to sqaure one again. 1
Well the conservatives made a complete mess of everything when in power, labour came in to try and tidy it up but haven't succeeded just made unrealistic promises. They should move over and let the lib dems have a go surely they can't do any worse! 1
Well, I said other reasons because it cannot be attributed to just one specific reason. I would say i'm influenced by... I know I will not vote conservative, they've already had a good go at it, I am fairly sure I wqill stick with Labour. My reasons for 1
What the party has managed to do for the country in the past. This will carry on in the future. 1
Which party leader is the most charismatic, don't like slimy men - I don't feel that I can trust them 1
While I am yet to be convinced that Labour has earned my vote I feel that they deserve one final chance. The Tories had 18 years and didn't get it right, so maybe another term for Labour will see things turn out better. 1
Will not vote Labour, I don't like Lib Dem policies and am not sure of Tories at the moment so it seems the best alternative at moment. 1
Will vote to get rid of Blair 1
Withdraw from the EU as far as is possible 1
all parties end up the same 1
although they have no chance of winning, the incoming government whoever they may be need to be aware that the working public are unhappy with the way they say one thing and then do something completely different 1
always voted that way 1
always voted the same 1
anythings better than the parties which have been in power before. 1
as a life long labour voter who cannot vote for them this time, i need to work out the best use of my negative vote - not same as tactical vote 1
as a whole labour I feel have fullfilled their policies & people are better off in general after the Conservative years 1
at the end of the day they are all the same 1
because 1
because I am very angry at what is happing to our country and the unfareness of the way british are treated. To top it all off we are paying to watch our country be run down. And the party I have chosen is not even allowed to speek. 1
because i am sick to death of politics and i think UKIP stands for who i am i am a English man not a bloody European 1
because i cant make my mind up 1
because i have to vote for some one 1
because i think labour are doing a better job than any other party would do 1
because i'm fed up with the general trend of official management and government policy-in power all political parties are begining to act alike.... 1
because the vote has to go somewhere 1
because there are no independents standing 1
because there wasnt another option available 1
becouse i dont wont labour our consevative to get in 1
been born & bred into the labour party . i dont always agree that there polices are the best one's , especially on crime & immigration 1
best chance of getting Blair out 1
best choice out of a bad lot 1
best for my local area 1
best of a bad bunch 2
best of a bad bunch. better than any of the alternatives. 1
best of a bad lot! 1
best of a poor lot 1
best placed to tackle immigration and multiculturalism 1
best way to highlight my concerns about the environment 1

better the devil you know - i cant forget thatcherism and any subsequent torry party will inevitably turn to that 1
better the devil you then the devil you don,t 1
born and bred one party man 1
cant do as bad as everyone else...can they 1
cos they tell the same lies and youve got to vote for some body. 1
couldnt do no worse that labour and the things they are promising sound good if they get done 1
dependent on their policies 1
depends on day 1
depends on what I hear about each party that has my concerns and is intending doing something about it 1

global warming is the major problem that not only effects us in britain but is a worldwide problem that needs urgent attention now before it is too late i feel that the only way to bring this to the forefront of any future governments policy making decisi 1

gordon brown 1
have always voted for them 1
have always voted liberal democrat 1

haven't decided yet who i will vote for and haven't got a preference of any party 1
historically a conservative voter, but not feeling very enthused by conservative party at present!! 1
home rule 1
hopping they well put a stop to cheap labour and gave foreigners seeking work get the same wages as the rest of us 1
how i feel on the day 1
how there policies affect me directly 1
i PREFER TO VOTE FOR THE PERSON, NOT THE PARTY. 1
i am pro-euro and pro-european, and think the lib-dems are best bet for this. Tory policies are ok but their anti-EU stance is offputting. 1
i believe they will do thier best to keep the asylum seekers to a minimum where as the others dont care who they let in. 1
i can never ever forget the conservatives what they did whilst in office, the were responsible for the state of the health service and has it is to day ie mrsa and all the managers i say that because i worked has a nurse for 30 years. 1
i do not like who is isn power today so i would pick the best of the others 1
i do not trust the other parties 1
i dont agree with labours stance on iraq, the lib dems were the only ones listening to the public, the conservatives are useless and definatly will not get my vote - i lost my home in the 80's(repossesed) due to them 1
i dont know much about any of the parties but feel that the lib.dems. wud appeal to me most, policy wise 1
i dont think any other partys would be able to keep to what they say they will do keep labour in as they can keep working for the people as they have done so far. if a new party was to go in they would have to start from scratch an waste time! 1
i feel that the voters can trust thelib dems more than the other parties 1
i feel they have done a fairly good job so fair 1
i have aways voted for this party 1
i have been a labour voter for 30 yrs but i cannot vote labour in this election so my next best option is liberal democrat 1
i have no reasons 1
i like liberal democrats, and would like both liberal democrats and labour to become one party. I will be horified if Conservatives win the election and feel very insecure about my standard of living and future 1
i like our local member of parliament 1
i like some of their polices better than the others they woukd suit my family situation a little better 1
i like their policies 1
i live in a labour constituency 1
i prefere labour but will never vote for new labour again as they only seem intrested in vote winning gimmicks 1
i think of all the parties these ones would deal with the immigration problem far quicker than any other. With immigration dealt with the threats of terrorism within this country will be far more tolerable. 1
i think they are all the smae anyway 1
i was brought up to think labour but have lost any faith i had in the labour government 1
i will never vote labour under tony blair 1
i will vote for which ever party canvasses at my door and has the best policies for me and my family 1
i would not voye conservative because of the way they decemated nhs , coal industry, poll tax and put my husband and 3000 of his colleugues in the civil service on the dole by closing the weapons section of the mod navy here in wales and left the area wit 1
i would rather vote liberal because i hate labour and conservative and dont really know the other parties well enough 1
i would vote conservative because i would like to see what they can do in power, they can't do worse than the present government and i don't like Labour or Tony Blair. 1
i wouldnt vote for anyone 1
if the leader was more convincing 1
if they could stop anymore asylum seekers getting into Britain 1
im a special constable and I want a fairer way of recognition-CSO,s who get 16k a year.Special police constables get nothing.I will vote for the party that fights for pay for Specials. 1
iraq and top up fees 1
issues 1
it is the only party that stood up against the iraq war, it has the same 'real labour' policys that i agree with, the leader is a man of priniciples. i would have voted labouer if it wasnt for the war sinc labour run through my blood 1
it seems the best but no other party has inspired me 1
it tends to be a combinations of reasons 1
its a question of trying to decide which party is the least worst 1
its the best of a bad lot 1
its time to change 1
jjj 1
just from what i have heared on the telly, they seem to be offering a better goverment 1
just other reasons 1
just think they are the best of whats avalible 1
labour and conservatives have not made me want to vaote for them, so I would like to see how the liberals would run the country 1
labour appear to have lost the initiative with many policies...maybe a change is for the best 1
labour deserve just one more chance to prove themselves 1
labour has let britain down 1
labour is for working class people 1
labour is hitting middle income earner families even though I am a union member and have voted labour since I was 18 1
labour lied over iraq 1
labour no longer represent the working class, they arrogantly take for granted the working class vote and give little in return to the class of society that created the party. 1
labour& conservitive have give some one else a try . 1
lack of trust in Tony Blair Illegal war - unacceptable 1

the conservative policies fall more in line with my opinions than the other parties at this present time. 1
the consevatives had their chance they didnt do any good so what have i got to loose 1
the country can't stand another 4 years of labour & I don't think the lib dem has enough people to run the country on its own so it will have to be cons 1
the current government is ripping my family off by taking more and more money off of us. My Husband is on a good wage ye we still struggle to have a good quality of life. He works all the hours under the sun and always have. 1
the labour party have been fair, at my position in life with, a family, and i feel i have been treated fairly 1
the lib Dems are very active in my constituency and since they have taken control of Birmingham city council, things are getting done. 1
the lib. dem. m.p. is the only one that is ever seen between elections doing anything for local people. All the others only come out at election time. I vote for my area not the country. 1
the libdems are the closest to things i agree with that is able to do anything greens are not big enough to be listened to. 1
the local MP who does a very good job locally 1
the main two partys have had a go now let the librals have a go 1
the other party's are spending too much time money and energy into other countries and not doing enough for our own 1

they are just slightly in my favoure on the econamy but i have reservations on all the parties other issues 1
they are the party that feel the same way about Europe as I do. 1
they were better than labour 1
they've done fairlyw ell up until now and I think we would risk losing asll the things that they've achieved if we were to change government as the new government would make it their first concern to make changes whether required or not. 1
think the Uk should have less ties with Europe 1
think they look after the working class 1
to crack down on asylem seekers 1
to give another party a chance 1
to give another party chance to run the country 1
to jolt the main parties back into reality 1
to much polictical correctness about. The Englishman is a second class citizen in there own country 1
