LabelChild maintenance arrangements in different situations: Q288
Question text In the next section, I will be asking about your views on child maintenance arrangements in different situations. Child maintenance arrangements are sometimes made by parents who are separated or who have never lived together, to help support any children they may have had together. These arrangements might involve the parent who does not live with the child making regular payments to the parent living with the child. They may also involve the parent providing support in other ways, such as through occasional gifts, payments towards the mortgage, rent or household bills, help with childcare or jobs around the house. This support could be in addition to regular payments or it might be the only type of child maintenance arrangement. The following questions ask about child maintenance arrangements in different circumstances.
