Variable Details

Variablelungtest
LabelLung function: Whether respondent is willing to have lung function measured
Question text A lung function test tells you how well your lungs are working. It measures how fast you can push air out of your lungs as well as how much air your lungs can breathe out. How the results are interpreted depends on your age, sex, height and ethnicity. For this reason I will not be able to interpret the results for you, however should you agree, the results can be sent to your GP who is in the best place to tell you what they mean. To do the test you will need to blow out into a tube as hard and as fast as (he/she) can for as long as (he/she) can. To get an accurate test (he/she) will need to do this at least 3 times but no more than 8 times. Would you be willing to have your lung function measured?
