AFTER WAITING WEEKS FOR THE POLICE TO GET BACK TO ME I DECIDED TO COMPLAIN BUT IN THE MEANTIME THEY FINALLY GOT BACK TO ME SO I DECIDED IT WOULD TAKE EVEN LONGER IF I COMPLAINED I FELT VULNERALBLE AND NOT IMPORTANT. 1
BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET THROUGH. 2
BECAUSE I DIDNT EXPECT ANYTHING TO COME OUT OF IT, AND IT WOULD BE MORE IMPORTANT TO DO DEAL WITH THE ASSAULT RATHER THAN MAKING A COMPLAINT. 1
BECAUSE I WAS WORRIED ABOUT WORK, I JUST GOT MADE REDUNDANT YESTERDAY, DUE TO ISSUES AT WORK I DIDN'T HAVE TIME FOR IT. 1

BECAUSE THE CHIEF SAID TO ME THAT THERE WAS NO POINT AS THE POLICE WERE JUST GOING TO SAY THAT THEY WERE DOING THEIR JOB AND WERE WORKING HARD. IT MADE ME QUITE SCARED. 1
BECAUSE THE INSPECTOR TOLD ME THAT THE OFFICERS HAD NOT LIED AND THEY HAD DONE WHAT THEY FELT NECESSARY. THERE WAS NO POINT IN TAKING THE CALL FURTHER. 1
BECAUSE THE POLICE WOMEN WHO ACCOMPANIED ME TO HOSPITAL FAILED TO CONTACT ME BACK AFTER PROMISING TO DO SO. 1
BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME YOU ARE OUT OF TIME, AND YOU GOT TO GO HOME. I THINK IT WAS PROBABLY MY FAULT, MAYBE I GOT THERE LATE. THEY GAVE A TIME BETWEEN 8-4 AND I CAME AT 4 O'CLOCK AND THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME. THAT WAS AT THE SHOW 1

GIVEN A PHONE NUMBER, AND SAID SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME BACK. A LADY CALLED FROM HENDON AND SAID THEY HAD MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DEAL WITH BECAUSE OF THE RIOTS AND PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON ME. DIDN'T GIVE ME THE CHANCE TO TELL THEM ANYT 1
HE IS ABOUT TO GO TO CROWN COURT FOR USE OF A OFFENSIVE WEAPON, THE POLICE ARE THEMSELVES TAKING ACTION AGAINST HIM. 1

I COULDN'T CONTACT THEM. THE LINE WAS CLOSED. 1

I GAVE THEM SO MUCH INFORMATION BUT NOTHING WAS DONE. 1
I JUST WANTED TO COMPLAIN THAT I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE MORE COMMUNITY POLICE OFFICERS IN THE AREA. IF THERE WERE MORE THEN THERE WOULD BE LESS CRIME. THE COMPLAINT FAILED BECAUSE THEY NEVER REPLIED BACK, I AM STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM THEM AND I AM HOPING 1
I KEPT GETTING CUT OFF. 1
I RUNG THEM, ASKED THEM TO CALL ME BACK, AND THEY NEVER DID. 2
I SPOKE TO THE PERSON IN CHARGE. THEY REASSURED ME THAT THEY WERE TRYING HARD TO SEARCH FOR WHAT HAD HAPPENED BUT THEY WENT ON HOLIDAYS, SO THAT IS WHY THERE WAS NO PROGRESS, BUT FOR ME THEY WERE WORKING TOO SLOW. 2
I TOLD HIM THAT THEY WEREN'T TAKING MY INCIDENT SERIOUSLY, AND I SAID THAT I WANTED TO MAKE A COMPLAINT. SOMEONE DID GET BACK TO ME QUITE QUICKLY, AND HE PROMISED ALL SORTS OF THINGS LIKE MAKING A REPORT AND CONTACTING HOUSING PEOPLE TO POSSIBLY HELP ME M 1
I TRIED AT FRONT DESK BUT THEY WOULDN'T LISTEN. 1
I TRIED BUT FAILED TO CONTACT THEM. 1
I WAITED IN THE POLICE STATION FOR FORTY FIVE MINUTES TO MAKE A COMPLAINT THEY DID NOTHING ABOUT IT. THEY SAID THAT THEY WILL SPEAK TO THE OFFICER INVOLVED AND CALL ME BACK BUT I HAVE HAD NOTHING AT ALL BACK. 1
I WAS COMPLETELY IGNORED. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM, THEY WERE DEALING WITH A DIFFERENT COMPLAINT. THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO GO TO SOMEONE ELSE, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHO AS I DON'T KNOW HOW THE POLICE WORK. 1
I WAS GIVEN THE WRONG NUMBER, I TRIED THIS A COUPLE OF TIMES BUT THERE WAS NO ANSWER. I EVENTUALLY GOT TROUGH TO THAT NUMBER BUT WAS TOLD IT WAS THE WRONG NUMBER. WHEN I GOT THROUGH TO THIS ALTERNATIVE NUMBER THERE WAS NO ANSWER. I 1
I WAS TOLD THAT INVESTIGATION WAS CLOSED. 1
I WAS TOO SICK. 1
I WASN'T GIVEN A CRIME REFERENCE NUMBER, AND WASN'T ALLOWED THE BADGE NUMBER FROM THE OFFICER THAT I WANTED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. 2
I WASN'T GIVEN ENOUGH CONTACT DETAILS TO DO SO. 1
I WENT TO THE STATION, AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE DUTY OFFICER, WHO WASN'T AVAILABLE AND I LEFT MY DETAILS FOR THEM. BUT THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. 2
I'M NOT SURE TO BE HONEST. 2
IT WAS JUST TOO INCONVENIENT TO HAVE COMPLAINED AT THE TIME. 1

SHE SAID BASICALLY EVERYONE WAS BUSY THERE, SO THERE WAS NO ONE TO TAKE THE COMPLAINT. SHE SAID SOMEONE HIGHER UP WOULD CONTACT ME BUT NOBODY DID. 2
SHE SAID TO ME NOT TO WORRY JUST GO HOME, AND THAT THE OFFICERS WOULD BE SENT OUT. 2
THE COMPLAINT I WAS LODGING WAS WITH THE SERGEANT AT ACTON FOR THE ORIGINAL RESPONDING OFFICERS. THE SERGEANT WANTED ME TO TAKE IT UP WITH THE IPCC BUT I FELT THIS WAS TAKING IT TOO FAR AND WHAT I WANTED WAS THE SERGEANT TO TAKE THE ACTION I FELT APPROPRI 1
THE INCIDENT WAS SPLIT INTO TWO SEPARATE CASES EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENED AT THE SAME TIME. 1
THE OFFICER AGREED THE LETTER SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SENT OUT. 1
THE OFFICER I SPOKE TO DID NOT TAKE ME SERIOUSLY. 1
THE OFFICER I WENT TO WAS QUITE ABRUPT. ALSO I FOUND IT HARD TO GET THE TIME TO GET THE COMPLAINT FORM DONE WORKING AROUND WORK AND MY SOCIAL LIFE. 1
THE OFFICER SAID I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROOF. 1
THE OPERATOR SAID 'I WILL WRITE AN NOTE FOR YOU, I AM BUSY AT THE MOMENT, GOOD BYE'. THAT IS ALL THAT WAS SAID. 1
THE PERSON I SPOKE TO DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE; HE TOOK THE DETAILS AND SAID HE WOULD GET BACK TO ME BUT HE NEVER DID. 2
THE PERSON WASN'T AVAILABLE. 1
THE POLICE SAID WE HAD NO ONE TO TAKE THE COMPLAINT 1
THE SYSTEM DID NOT ENABLE ME TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE WAY THEY CONDUCTED THEIR WORK. 1
THE WEB SITE DIDN'T WORK, ONE OF THE OFFICERS I SPOKE TO DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE COMPLAINT'S PROCEDURE. 1
THE WOMAN SAID TO ME THAT IT WAS VERY COMPLICATED FOR ME TO MAKE A COMPLAINT AND THAT NOTHING WOULD CHANGE. 1
THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD MAKE THE COMPLAINT; THEY TOLD ME THE SUPERINTENDENT DOESN'T WANT TO COME TO SEE ME, OR THEY WOULD TAKE MY NUMBER AND HE WOULDN'T CALL ME. 1
THERE WERE TOO MANY CHANNELS TO GO THROUGH TO MAKE A COMPLAINT. 2
THEY BAMBOOZLED ME ON THE PHONE ABOUT HOW IT WAS TOO LATE TO GET EVIDENCE. 1
THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PERSON WHO COMMITTED THE CRIME. 2

THEY SAID BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW WHO THE PERSON IS. 2
THEY SAID IT WAS A LONG PROCEDURE AND THAT IT WOULD END WITH HIM JUST GETTING TOLD OFF. I FELT LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO PUT ME OFF COMPLAINING. 1
THEY SAID OTHERWISE I'M GOING TO BE ARRESTED AS WELL AND WOULD HAVE TO GET MY LAWYER AS I DON'T HAVE ANY WITNESSES. 2
THEY SAID THE POLICE HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ABOUT ME AND TO JUST WAIT AND THEY'LL BE IN CONTACT. BUT THEY NEVER DID. 1

THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO COMPLAIN TO THE POLICE COMPLAINTS COMMISSION 1
THEY WANTED ME TO WRITE A LETTER BUT I HAD TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY THE NEXT DAY OR SO. 2
THEY WERE CLOSED ON A BANK HOLIDAY. 1
THEY WERE NOT HELPFUL AT THE STATION. 1
THEY WERE UNHELPFUL AND I BECAME ANGRY. I ASKED QUESTIONS AND THEY WOULDN'T ANSWER ME. WHAT I HAD TO SAY WASN'T RELEVANT. 1
TRIED TO CONTACT POLICE VIA TELEPHONE NUMBER GIVEN ON LETTER, BUT NO ANSWER. SO I THEN WENT TO THE POLICE STATION MYSELF AND THAT WAS A BAD SITUATION. 1
VICTIM SUPPORT WERE HARD TO GET HOLD OF VIA PHONE. 2
WAITING FROM THE POLICE FIRST. 1
WHEN I CALLED THROUGH, THEY SAID I EITHER HAD TO WRITE OR GO IN PERSON TO THE STATION WHERE THE OFFICER WAS. AT THAT POINT WITH SO MUCH GOING ON I DID NOT HAVE THE TIME OR INCLINATION TO PERUSE IT FURTHER. 1
