Question text IF FIRST ITEM AT PreQ18: Please tell me how far you agree or disagree with each of the following statements? IF NOT FIRST ITEM AT PreQ18: And how much do you agree or disagree with this statement? The Government generally treats people like me fairly. There is often a big gap between what people like me expect out of life and what we actually get. Being active in politics is a good way to get benefits for me and my family. It takes too much time and effort to be active in politics and public affairs. Being active in politics is a good way to get benefits for groups that people care about like pensioners or the disabled. It is every citizen's duty to vote in an election. Most of my family and friends think that voting is a waste of time. My member of parliament tries hard to look after the interests of people who live in my constituency.
