| Interviewer Instructions | IF ASKED FOR CLARIFICATION: Dentists can be both private and NHS. For instance - you might see your dentist privately while your children are treated on the NHS for free by the same dentist. Most people are required to pay something towards treatment on the NHS but there are some exceptions. Expectant or nursing mothers or those receiving family tax credit, income support or incapacity benefit are entitled to free dental care on the NHS. If you have received your treatment on the NHS, you need to sign a form called a GP17 form. Some people who pay privately are treated under a dental insurance plan (e.g. Denplan)." | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
