Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner. This survey was carried out in the Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) of Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Doncaster and Sheffield using the nationally validated Cancer Awareness Measure (CAM). The aim was to provide a baseline assessment of cancer awareness amongst adults living in the areas served by these four PCTs. They also aim to highlight differences in awareness by age, gender and socio-economic factors.
