The World Bank World Development Indicators (WDI) contain statistical data for over 600 development indicators for over 200 countries and 18 country groups running from 1960 onwards. The extensive collection of development data includes social, economic, financial, natural resources and environmental indicators.

These data were first provided by the UK Data Service in February 2004. The UK Data Service web site includes further information on its World Bank WDI holdings, including a dataset user guide and details of latest database updates.

Earlier World Bank data World Tables of Economic and Social Indicators for 1950 to 1992 are available at the UK Data Archive under GN 33234.
